Portland's downtown waterfront will be transformed into a skatepark this weekend as some of the best skateboarders in the world come to town for the Rockstar Energy Open.
Skate of play: The contest, returning to Portland for its second year, will feature Australian Olympic gold medalist Keegan Palmer, last year's winner Lazer Crawford and Lilly Erickson, who started her career on a board from Target but now rides for Tony Hawk's company, Birdhouse.
Between the grinds: The free event will have food trucks, booths from local skate shops and live music.
Punk rock band Face to Face will take the stage tonight with The Paradox.
The Story So Far will headline tomorrow night with Teen Mortgage.
If you go: The venue at Tom McCall Waterfront Park opens at 11:45am each day with qualifiers today, semi-finals tomorrow and finals on Sunday.
