RingSide Steakhouse, a Portland institution since 1944, will reopen to the public next week after a kitchen fire shuttered the restaurant temporarily four months ago.
Best bites: The reopening comes with new additions to the menu.
Alongside classics, like the French fried onion rings and filet mignon, guests will now find crispy, miso-glazed octopus, hamachi crudo and an eight-ounce pan-seared salmon with nduja and succotash.
The vibe: Despite the fire causing significant damage to the kitchen and dining room, diners can expect to find the same, intimate decor as before: Clay brick walls, rich cherry wood accents and the wood-burning fireplace centerpiece.
If you go: RingSide Steakhouse (2165 W Burnside St.) reopens Monday, Aug. 4.
