Dozens of riders will compete at the Pro Motocross Championship's Washougal National — the Pacific Northwest's longest running motorsports event — Saturday.
The big picture: The 44th annual event features 11 rounds of high-speed competition at Washougal MX Park, drawing racers and fans from across the region.
The iconic racetrack, lined with thick evergreens, features steep hills, sharp turns and gravity-defying jumps — giving spectators a shady vantage point as riders jump in and out of the shadows just feet away.
If you go: Qualifying starts at 8am at Washougal MX Park (40205 NE Borin Rd); the first race is at noon. General admission is $85.
