Farag's, the mezcal and wine bar with Egyptian small plates located in Güero's back patio, reopens this Saturday.
Catch up quick: Head chef and owner of Güero, Megan Sanchez, uses the space behind the torta restaurant each summer to host a pop-up.
Farag's, which celebrates Sanchez's Egyptian heritage, launched in 2024 and quickly became a popular destination — with expansive outdoor seating, misters, string lights and live jazz or DJs most weekends.
Now, it's back for its second year.
Best bites: Don't worry, the long hot dog — piled high with pickled veggies — is coming back.
Other menu highlights include grape leaf-wrapped kibbeh with lemony sumac onion, plus gigante beans, served cold in a tomato marinade with shrimp salsa macha and watermelon.
If you go: Farag's opening party is June 14 at 4pm. Then, they'll be open Thursday through Sunday, 4-10pm.
