Kristen Stewart's directorial debut may be something Oregonians are already familiar with.
Zoom in: "The Chronology of Water" is a 2011 memoir by Oregon-based author Lidia Yuknavitch, who writes about her childhood trauma, addiction, self-discovery and exploring her sexuality.
Stewart's film of the same name, which premiered at France's Cannes Film Festival last week, took her eight years to make.
Starring Imogen Poots as Lidia alongside Thora Birch and Kim Gordon, the movie received critical acclaim in earlyreviews — including a six-minute standing ovation.
