Oregon's first Black-owned winery partners with Airbnb

Zoom in: Abbey Creek Vineyard was launched in 2008 by Bertony Faustin, the child of Haitian immigrants who was raised in Brooklyn, New York.

• Faustin took over 5 acres of grapevines growing near Forest Park, near the namesake creek, and opened a tasting room — known as "The Crick" — in North Plains.
• "It's great that I'm the first, but what's most important is that I'm not the last," Faustin wrote on the winery's website.

If you go: The "Get Lifted Experience" starts with a tour at the vineyard, which is closed to the public.

• Then you'll head to the tasting room for wine along with food and hip-hop pairings.
• The experience ends with single-origin Haitian chocolate.
• The two-hour endeavor runs $100 per person.

Between the lines: Airbnb has been offering "experiences" since 2016, but the new Originals promise to be more exclusive, Jay Carney, the company's global head of policy and communications, told Axios.

• "These are once-in-a-lifetime kind of experiences because of who the host is and what they're offering," Carney said.
