An average visit to any of the state's emergency departments lasts a little more than five hours, according to a new dashboard from the Oregon Health Authority.
Zoom in: It tracks a variety of data, including length of stay, patient volume, primary diagnoses, number of childbirths, as well as how many referrals are given for inpatient care — all of which can be broken down by hospital.
For example, Portland's Providence St. Vincent had the most discharges (1,959) for those who came in with a primary diagnosis of mental health or substance use disorder in the third quarter of last year.
