Attendance at Blazers games has nearly rebounded to pre-COVID levels.
- Driving the news: Before COVID caused the suspension of the 2020 season, the Blazers were consistently drawing around 800,000 fans per season, per stats from ESPN.
By the numbers: After a pandemic-related dip to just 8,000 people in 2021, attendance recovered to roughly 681,000 this season with two more games to go.
Yes, but: That's still below the average for the last 25 years or so, and may be because of the product on the court.
- While the Blazers have been one of the worst teams in the league since they traded superstar Damian Lillard in 2023, this year's squad has shown some real signs of growth.
💭 My thought bubble: I've been to a handful of games this season and, despite their struggles on the court, it's still a great time. And often a cheap one, too.
