Award-winning pFriem Family Brewing is branching out from its headquarters in Hood River and will open its first outpost, a taproom, in Milwaukie's former city hall and fire station next week.
Driving the news: The taproom will have three bars with 20 taps, a dining room and a separate community room that will be available to local nonprofits, per the Oregonian.
Josh Pfriem said preserving the historic nature of the building was essential, even modifying the design to make sure they could keep an old fire pole.
What they're saying: "The city has been incredibly welcoming, and we hope we can play an important part in growing the local business community downtown as well as providing the community a really cool space to come together in," Pfriem said in a written statement.
If you go: The taproom will be open daily from 11am to 9pm at 10722 SE Main Street.
