Oregon is swinging into spring drought-free.
Zoom in: Aside from the northeast corner of the state being "abnormally dry," 0% of Oregon is currently in any form of drought, per the U.S. Drought Monitor.
State climatologist Larry O'Neill told Axios that status is likely to hold at least through early summer due to "consecutive years of very good snowpack and precipitation across Oregon."
Yes, but: "Any strong heat waves in late spring and early summer like what we experienced last year could generate some localized drought," O'Neill said.
