Portland Art Museum to open gallery focused on Black art

• The work inside the gallery — from local, regional and global Black artists — will be visible to everyone who passes the museum once construction is completed, even those who don't purchase a ticket, via the first-floor's transparent façade.
• The inaugural presentation will feature four exhibitions, which will include prints by Portland artist Lisa Jarrett, recent acquisitions of works by Derrick Adams, Robert Pruitt, Alison Saar, and others, as well as a video installation from Mickalene Thomas.
