Oregon Ducks vie for Big Ten championship

The college football postseason gets underway this weekend and the best team in the country — your Oregon Ducks — will face off against Penn State Saturday for a shot at a conference championship trophy.

State of play: In their first season since joining the Big Ten, the Ducks are looking to extend their dominance.

The big picture: The Ducks are the only unbeaten team remaining in college football.

Quarterback Dillon Gabriel was named conference offensive player of the year and quarterback of the year earlier this week.
The team has been ranked No. 1 in the nation for weeks and is well-positioned to carry that ranking into the College Football Playoffs, where they hope to play for a National Championship.

Yes, but: The Nittany Lions of Penn State are no slouches, ranked No. 3 in the nation, and with an elite defense that could cause real problems for the Ducks.

For only the second time this season, ESPN has favored an opposing team against the Ducks, giving Penn State a 54% chance of winning.

What we're watching: The game kicks off at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis at 5pm Saturday on CBS.
