The big picture: Despite all of the change, forward Sophia Smith told Axios the team's morale remains high.
"That's just the reality of the sport that we play," Smith, who was part of the U.S. women's soccer team who won gold at the Olympics, said.
Smith added they have one goal: to win, and to "do it together, regardless of all the change that's happening."
State of play: "I don't believe we've been playing to our full capability," Smith said of the Thorns losing the last three games, but the potential for a playoff spot is still there.
"We're just continuing to take it game by game."
What's next: The Portland Thorns face the Chicago Red Stars at Providence Park tomorrow at 7pm. Tickets start at $19.
