Stripper and Portland mayoral candidate Liv Osthus on her best day ever

• While she doesn't have any prior political experience, she's running on a platform of reviving small businesses, more funding for the arts and addressing the addiction crisis as a way to bring people back downtown.

We asked her what her best day ever in Portland looks like.

🥐 Breakfast starts at Gluten Free Gem bakery with a cinnamon walnut scone and Americano for her, and a cortado for her partner, artist Michael T. Hensley.

• Then, they head to his "tropical oasis in NE Portland" to play dice.

🧺 Next up is a Sauvie Island picnic outing with their two daughters, ages 9 and 12, at Topaz Farms. They'd all "pet the goats and chase the chickens and give the pigs scritches."

• "We'd look in on the legendary Pennie Lane, too."

🍝 Dinner happens either at Navarre or Luce with friends. "Portland excels at unpretentious excellence."

🎸 Then, the pair sans kids would hit up a reading at Mother Foucault's, stop by Mary's and end the night with a punk show at Star Theater, where her current faves Epic Strange and Help are playing.
