"The Korean Mama" duo Jane and Ed Kim share their last meal

The charismatic mother-son duo behind the viral TikTok account @TheKoreanMama, Jane and Ed Kim, take viewers along with them as they try both hole-in-the-wall and critically acclaimed restaurants around Portland.

Zoom in: With over 740,000 followers, the Kims introduce the city's diverse culinary scene to a global audience, highlighting spots like Afuri, Lawless Barbecue and The Turning Peel — all while documenting Jane's reaction to things like a sake shot with baby eels and salmon roe in the process.

The latest: The two just welcomed a new puppy to the family and are visitingKorea next spring. "It will be the first time back in over 20 years," they told Axios in a joint emailed statement.

We wanted to know: If Ed and Jane had one last meal, what would it be?

We're just glad we didn't ask Jane to choose between pho and snow crab.

🥟 Appetizer: Steamed dumplings and tteokbokki, stir-fried spicy rice cakes, from Hillsboro's Umma Korean Restaurant.

"If we lived closer, we'd be regulars here!" they said.

🥘 Entree: Also at Umma, they'd both order a bowl of the yukgaejang, a spicy, shredded beef, scallion and vegetable soup.

Then, to finish the meal, they'd share the osam bulgogi, a spicy squid and pork stir fry smothered in sweet, garlicky gochujang sauce.
