Portlanders can see star-studded women's college basketball this weekend at the Moda Center.

Why it matters: The women's game has been buzzier than the men's this season, and the Sweet 16 is coming to town for the usual price of parking, a drink and a snack.

Zoom in: Fans can see NCAA's second-ranked player, USC freshman JuJu Watkins, in the Rose Quarter.

  • Watkins and USC take on the Baylor Bears here at 2:30pm on Saturday.

Cameron Brink, meanwhile, also plays in Portland as Stanford takes on NC State at 4:30pm Saturday.

Fun fact: Brink's parents worked at Nike and she chose basketball — over art and volleyball — when she attended Southridge and Mountainside high schools in Beaverton.

  • After this, you probably won't see the 6-foot-4-inch Brink play in Portland again because she's off to the WNBA.

Between the lines: If you're lucky you'll get tickets to a fascinating matchup, the UConn Huskies against the Duke Blue Devils this Saturday at 5pm.

  • No. 7 seed Duke is in a good mood after seeing off No. 2 seed Ohio State in the last round. It will have to face UConn's formidable Paige Bueckers, however.

What we're watching: Across the country, the Oregon State University women's basketball team plays its next March Madness game Friday in Albany, New York, at 11:30am PDT.

The best-known college basketball player, Caitlin Clark, also won't be coming to Portland — her games are in Albany too.

  • Set your alarm for the Iowa Hawkeyes versus the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday at 12:30pm.

What's next: The winners in Albany and Portland will move on to Cleveland, April 4-7 for the Final Four.

Alexa, set a second alarm: Portland will host the Final Four in 2030.
