Brujos Brewing, the 10-year-old brewing company known for its hazy IPAs and dark metal graphics, has opened a brewpub in industrial NW Portland.

🛹 The vibe: Brujo is Spanish for "wizard" or "warlock" — "bruja" means witch — and the company's aesthetic is part SoCal skater homie, part homebrew dad.

  • The slogan on the temporary sign is "crafting liquid spells."

What's inside: Church pews, scorched wood, chandeliers and gothic arches, all presided over by squeaky clean steel tanks and the occasional black monk mannequin.

🤘 If you go: The soundtrack is the constant chaos of dark metal — but not too loud — and the upscale bar menu is provided by Saint Lovejoy's on the premises.

Best bites: The merguez lamb sausage sandwich ($18) with roasted pepper relish and dijon yogurt spread is a treat.

✝️ For the zero-proof set, Brujos also cans Unholy Water — a tea of boiled hops in carbonated water.
