The big picture: A 13,000-square-foot mansion set on an acre of land at the base of Camelback Mountain will go up for auction June 24.
- Bidding on the Rockridge Estate will start at $2 million. It was most recently listed for $7.9 million.
Zoom in: The mansion has a 12-car garage, five bedrooms, five half bathrooms and five full bathrooms.
- There's a rooftop deck and hot tub with 360-degree mountain and city views, chef's kitchen with two commercial-grade refrigerators, elevator and secure vault room.
- It's not far from the Echo Canyon and Cholla trailheads and some of Arcadia's hottest restaurants.
The intrigue: The Valley's luxury market hasn't slowed down the way the rest of the market has since interest rates spiked.
- Many buyers seeking homes over $1 million are paying with cash and aren't impacted by interest rates.
- More than 4,800 homes sold for more than $1 million in metro Phoenix last year, Phoenix Realtors immediate past president Butch Leiber told us. Prior to 2020, there were never more than 2,000 homes sold per year in this range.
