Amtrak unveils new America 250-inspired train

Amtrak's new Freedom 250 Acela train — decked out in red, white and blue — pulled into Philadelphia yesterday.
Why it matters: It was all part of America's nationwide birthday celebration.
Driving the news: Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy traveled on the train's first trip from Washington, D.C., to 30th Street Station in Philly.
Zoom in: The train's exterior features classic American imagery, including stars and the Statue of Liberty.
- Also emblazoned along the train: "Delivered by President Donald J. Trump and Secretary Sean P. Duffy."
- Wrapping the train decals took 150 man-hours.
1 head scratcher: The wrap includes large lettering that reads: "1776 National Champs" — an apparent patriotic reference to the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Meanwhile, Amtrak unveiled a new website this week for travelers along the Northeast Corridor ahead of the FIFA World Cup this summer.
What's next: Amtrak will add new America-inspired decals on 20 additional locomotives operating across the U.S. in the coming months.
