Vote to make Philly the best city for street art in the U.S.

If you're already spiraling about watching a Birdless Super Bowl, here's another gut punch: Philly is on the brink of losing another title.

Why it matters: We have to relinquish the "city of champions" label — but we can keep Philadelphia from losing its "best city for street art" crown.

Driving the news: Philly is currently in second place, trailing Cincinnati, in USA Today's nationwide contest.

The competition: Nine other cities, including my hometown, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Flashback: Philly claimed the readers' choice award for top street art city last year and in 2023.

Yes, but: You have until Feb. 16 to vote.

Zoom in: Mural Arts is a big reason Philly's in contention, with major projects ahead — including an artist call for a Boyz II Men tribute mural.

Also on tap in 2026: Printmaking by the People, a project asking Philadelphians to reimagine what the Declaration of Independence would say if it were written today.

The bottom line: We must protect this championship-winning house!
