Driving the news: "Where We Keep the Light: Stories from a Life of Service" will be published on Jan. 26, 2026, according to the publisher.

• Shapiro will touch on his Jewish faith and political journey "knocking on doors, serving his community and bringing people together to tackle the tough problems we face," the publisher said.

Zoom out: The book deal follows Shapiro's recent appearance on "The Breakfast Club" podcast, where he discussed the trauma he and his family endured after a man broke into and firebombed the governor's mansion last year while they were asleep inside.

• Shapiro, who was elected Pennsylvania governor in 2022 after serving as the state's attorney general, is up for re-election next year.
• His Republican gubernatorial challenger, Stacy Garrity, has already made Shapiro's rumored presidential ambitions a line of attack in her campaign.
