Xfinity Mobile Arena debuts in South Philadelphia

Driving the news: Sixers and Flyers fans will walk under Xfinity's purple signage when their seasons kick off in the coming weeks.

• The arena's rebrand was completed yesterday when the new signage was unveiled.
• Comcast Corp., Philly's media and tech giant which operates Xfinity, owns the naming rights through the 2030-31 season.

Flashback: The arena has been called the Wells Fargo Center since 2010, before Comcast took over the naming rights earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the Xfinity name was recently taken off the popular sports bar in the stadium complex, which is now known as Stateside Live!

🛜 1 cool thing: The arena becomes the first on the East Coast to get Comcast's new high-powered WiFi PowerBoost, offering speeds of up to 1 gig, per a company news release.
