Queen Village's booming food scene

Driving the news: Queen Village could be considered the city's "hottest food neighborhood," surpassing longtime restaurant hotbeds like Fishtown and Rittenhouse, per the Inquirer's Michael Klein.

• At least 30 new restaurants and food establishments in or around the neighborhood have opened or are planning to soon.

Context: Queen Village is generally bounded between Lombard Street and Washington Avenue, and 6th Street and the Delaware River.

• The neighborhood is home to essential Philly restaurants, like Jim's Steaks, which reopened this year; Royal Sushi & Izakaya; and Fitz on Fourth.
