Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders says she won't join Trump administration

• The event was just a few hours after President-elect Trump announced he would nominate her father and former Arkansas Republican Governor Mike Huckabee as the U.S. Ambassador to Israel.

What she's saying: "There [have] been very few people who have supported and campaigned as hard and hoped as much as I have that President Trump would be re-elected, which he did, decisively last week," Sanders said in response to a question at the end of the announcement.

• "But I am very proud to be the governor of Arkansas. I've already announced my bid for re-election, and I look forward to serving in this position for the next six years. So unfortunately and hopefully, you guys are stuck with me for a while, and the only member of my family that will be going into the administration is my dad."
