Bywater Bakery, owned by the creator of Whole Foods' famous Chantilly cake, has done it again, tantalizing our taste buds with a tropical twist on a king cake.
The big picture: The delicious fruity aroma wafts out of the box as soon as you open it.
- It's a traditional brioche stuffed with passionfruit and pineapple, then sprinkled with purple, green and gold sugar.
- It tastes like an exotic treat and was a hit at a family gathering.
Where to buy it: I bought mine at the King Cake Drive-Thru in Old Metairie for $36.
