If your Thanksgiving arrangement fell short in terms of expressing your hockey fandom, well, the Nashville Predators have you covered.
- The Preds partnered with Cracker Barrel on a catfish gravy boat giveaway for the team's Nov. 7 home game against the St. Louis Blues.
The big picture: Predators fans really want a playoff hockey team this season.
- That remains to be seen, but attending games is sure to be fun either way, as the team's marketing department once again packed their home schedule full of creative promotions and theme nights.
Here are some of our favorites:
Ryan O'Reilly bobblehead night
The Preds tapped into their Music City roots in recent years, giving away bobbleheads of country music stars like Keith Urban and Trisha Yearwood.
- This year, Preds center Ryan O'Reilly's bobblehead will go to the first 10,000 fans who arrive for the Dec. 5 game against Columbus.
The intrigue: The Preds haven't released photos of O'Reilly's bobblehead, but the fact that it's on a Hometown Remix Night provides a clue: O'Reilly is in a children's music band called Mac N Cheeze.
- His teammates even used the band's song "Pizza Party" to soundtrack their victory celebration.
Other music-themed bobbleheads include Billy Strings on Feb. 18.
Wrestling night
The first 5,000 fans will receive a Preds wrestling belt for the Dec. 15 tilt against Seattle.
- The promotion is part of the team's Smashville Sports Series.
Honoring a legend
There will be at least two games dedicated to honoring legendary Predators goalie Pekka Rinne.
- On Nov. 3, the team will celebrate Rinne's election to the Pro Hockey Hall of Fame. As part of the celebration, the team is also partnering to raise funds for Hockey Fights Cancer presented by Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
- The Predators will give a Pekka bobblehead to the first 10,000 fans for the team's March 30 game.
Hockey Romance Night
The Predators will celebrate Romance Night on Jan. 23 in partnership with Sugar and Spice Co.
- A ticket package gets you into the game against the Kings, an exclusive Predators bookmark and access to a panel event of hockey romance authors.
- The intersection of hockey and romance is a hot topic, in case you didn't know.
- Speaking of which, Pride Night is Jan. 5.
