Nashville's downtown library is closed through July 7 following fire

State of play: The explosive fire broke out in the early morning hours on June 10. No one was injured, but flames engulfed multiple cars and an upper-level ramp collapsed.

The latest: In a statement, the library reported that crews have been working 24 hours a day in rotating shifts to assess the extent of the damage in the main library.

What's next: Books and other materials that were on hold in the main branch will be taken to the Looby Branch Library at 2301 Rosa L. Parks Blvd.
