Cheers! Thursday is National Margarita Day, and there are many ways to celebrate the Nashville way.

🔥 Church and Union downtown serves the Ghost, a cocktail that adds a fiery punch to the traditional margarita recipe with cayenne pepper.

🏆 Superica's bartenders around the country celebrated this very real holiday by competing to create the best specialty margaritas. The top three contenders are added to the menu for a limited time at the Gulch location.

🍊 Taco Mama's menu in Hillsboro Village includes freshly made seasonal margaritas, such as the blood orange margarita, which is available for a limited time.

🥑 Avo, the plant-based restaurant on City Boulevard, offers an avocado margarita.

👋 Nate here: Axios Nashville readers came through last month with your recommendations for Mexican restaurants.

  • Mas Amigos, which replaced the long-running La Hacienda on Nolensville Pike, has an excellent bar. Their mango marg was a highlight.

All this talk about margaritas has us wondering …

  1. Do you order your margarita with salt or sugar on the rim?
  2. Frozen or on the rocks?
  3. Where's the best place to get a marg in Nashville?

📬 Send us your margarita hot takes at [email protected]. The spicier, the better. We might share them with the group later.
