TCUfaces No. 1 seed South Carolina tonight in the Elite Eight of this year's NCAA Tournament.
Why it matters: The TCU and UT women's basketball teams are the only Texas schools left in the tournament.
State of play: TCU advanced to the Elite Eight for the second year in a row after beating Virginia, 79-69, in the Sweet 16 on Saturday.
Horned Frogs Marta Suárez with 33 points and Olivia Miles with 28 points made up most of TCU's scoring Saturday.
UT beat Kentucky, 76-54, over the weekend.
The intrigue: No. 1 seed UT faces No. 2 seed Michigan at 6pm at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. Tickets start at $37.
Meanwhile, TCU is playing in Sacramento, California.
