The TCU women's basketball team is still dancing in the NCAA tournament, hoping to advance to the Elite Eight for the second year in a row.
Why it matters: The Texas Longhorns and the Horned Frogs are the only Texas teams left in the women's tournament.
State of play: TCU plays Virginia in the Sweet 16 at 6:30pm tomorrow.
Both teams are coming off overtime wins in the tournament's second round. No. 3 seed TCU beat No. 6 seed Washington at home, and No. 10 seed Virginia upset No. 2 Iowa in double overtime.
TCU players to watch: Four-time All-American Olivia Miles scored a triple-double in the first round of the tournament and a double-double in the second round, with 18 points and 10 rebounds against Washington.
Senior Taylor Bigby has competed in 11 tournament games in her college career, per Sports Illustrated. She played at Oregon and USC before joining TCU in 2024.
Graduate student Marta Suarez is the first TCU women's basketball player from Spain.
