Dallas football is about to return. In the spring. In Frisco.
Driving the news: The renamed Dallas Renegades have moved from the old ballpark in Arlington to Toyota Stadium in Frisco for this United Football League season.
The season starts Saturday against the Houston Gamblers, who also have a new name.
Catch up quick: The Arlington Renegades played an abbreviated 2020 season and returned in 2023 as part of the XFL.
The USFL and XFL merged in 2023 to form the Arlington-based UFL.
The Renegades remained in Arlington after the league merger but announced last year they would rebrand and play in Frisco.
Who's who: The Renegades have a new coach this season after Bob Stoops retired in December.
Rick Neuheisel has been a college head coach, including a stint at UCLA, and an assistant coach in the NFL.
Quarterback Luis Perez returns this season. He was the MVP when the Renegades won the XFL Championship in 2023.
What's next: The first game starts at 3pm Saturday at Toyota Stadium in Frisco.
