The Dallas Stars have a six-game winning streak heading into the Olympics break.
Driving the news: Seven Stars are on Olympic team rosters during the winter games.
NHL games are paused until the Games conclude.
State of play: The Stars only won three games between Dec. 22 and Jan. 22., causing them to slide to third in the Central Division.
They're 34-14, the same record as the second-place Minnesota Wild.
Stunning upset: One of the Stars' — and hockey's — top scorers was left off the Team USA roster.
Jason Robertson has scored 32 goals this season, the most for the Stars and tied for third in the league.
Among the Stars headed to the Olympics are: forward Radek Faksa will play for the Czech Republic, defenseman Thomas Harley will play for Canada and goaltender Jake Oettinger is backup goalie for Team USA.
Team Finland is filled with Stars: Mikko Rantanen, Roope Hintz, Miro Heiskanen and Esa Lindell.
What's next: The Olympics preliminaries for men's hockey start Feb. 11. The gold medal game is Feb. 22.
The Stars resume their season Feb. 25 against the Seattle Kraken at the American Airlines Center.
