Yesterday, we asked Axios Dallas readers to guess where this mural is. Phil J. was the only person who answered correctly.
State of art: James Prosek, an artist, naturalist and author, designed the recently completed 15-foot-tall mural on top of the Westbrook building in Fort Worth's Sundance Square.
It portrays more than 100 species of prairie plants native to Texas, including Purple Cone flowers, Indian Blanket, Indian Paintbrush, Wine Cup and several species of Milkweed.
What they're saying: Prairies were once a defining characteristic of North America.
"Today, they are among the continent's most diminished ecosystems, often misunderstood as empty space rather than complex, dynamic landscapes," a news release about the mural says.
