Almost half of North Texas' current population wasn't born yet or was in diapers when the Dallas Cowboys last won a Super Bowl.
And Jerry Jones had fewer haters then.
Why it matters: The Cowboys have crossed the three decade mark since their last Super Bowl appearance or win.
It's also been three decades since the team has appeared in an NFC championship game, the longest active drought across the league. Even the Chicago Bears have played in an NFC championship game since then.
The big picture: Dallas-Fort Worth is vastly different now compared to when the Cowboys dominated the NFL in the 1990s.
The metro's population has nearly doubled, and we have way more toll roads.
Yes, but: The Cowboys didn't play in Dallas in the '90s and they don't play in Dallas now, though Fair Park was once on the table.
Flashback: The Cowboys ended their historic run of three Super Bowl appearances — and wins — in four seasons on Jan. 28, 1996.
