More than 5,400 homes in Dallas-Fort Worthsold for over $1 million between November 2024 and October 2025, according to a new Texas Realtors report.
The big picture: More than 4% of houses sold in Texas between November 2024 and October 2025 cost over $1 million.
The D-FW metro sales accounted for 38% of the state's luxury home sales.
Stunning stat: Home sales over $1 million in the region totalled nearly $9.7 billion — or one-fifth of the dollar value of total residential sales in the D-FW area.
By the numbers: The median closing price of houses over $1 million in October was $1.4 million.
Million-dollar homes cost about $402 per square foot compared to $205 per square foot for all houses.
Zoom out: By comparison, 2,714 houses sold in the Austin metro for over $1 million and had a median closing price of $1.3 million in October.
Flashback: The 2019 million dollar homes report shows that just 1,785 houses sold for over $1 million in D-FW.
That year, 5,149 million-dollar homes sold statewide, less than were sold last year in D-FW.
The bottom line: Over $1 million buys you about 4,200 square feet in the Dallas area now.
