It's beginning to feel a lot like ... fall.
Why it matters: Dallas-Fort Worth is seeing vibrant yellows, reds and oranges a little more than a week from Christmas.
The same trees that pop during the day are dressed in lights at night for the holidays.
State of play: Our friends up north are well past their peak fall colors, but North Texas and other parts of the South are finally seeing the best colors.
The intrigue: Our fall weather came a little late too. November was 6.5 degrees warmer than normal, with the hottest day hitting 89, per the National Weather Service.
What's next: The colors are likely to stick around through Hanukkah and Christmas. Daily temperatures are climbing back into the 60s and there is no rain forecasted to knock down the leaves.
