A subterranean bar in the East Quarter of downtown Dallas serves complex cocktail flavors in a luxurious setting.
What to expect: Ginger's is reached on the backside of the building that houses National Anthem and Brass Ram.
Take the stairs to the bottom floor to find the bar.
Vibe check: Wainscotting, darkly painted walls and leather seating give Ginger's an elevated feeling that leaves the visitor unsurprised by the cost per cocktail.
The menu, which rotates with the seasons, features many fat-washed liquors and culinary flavors. Think beets, goat cheese and herbs.
What's next: Ginger's is celebrating its two-year anniversary on Dec. 5, the anniversary of the end of prohibition.
The bar will serve prohibition-era cocktails like the French 75 and sidecar for $19.33.
What to order: Velvet Vice — coconut-washed bourbon, amaretto, framboise, dark chocolate and espresso
Expect variations of cocktails throughout the seasons.
