Tasty Tuesday: Oldwest Cafe

Businesses have come and gone along Highway 121 in Bedford, but one brunch spot has been bumping for as long as we can remember.

The intrigue: Oldwest Cafe doesn't let you reserve a table before going, but the food is worth waiting for and the prices are very reasonable.

Vibe check: Imagine if Hobby Lobby and a Western film had a baby.

• Punny, country-themed signs adorn the walls. A mannequin cowboy on a horse statue keeps watch over the restaurant.

What to order: The Stagecoach skillet, with hash browns, eggs, biscuits, cheese and sausage gravy. You can sub the gravy with a cream gravy.

• The pancakes are also tasty. We like the white chocolate pumpkin and lemon blueberry flavors.
