TCU may have won the Iron Skillet last weekend, but SMU is ranked higher than the Fort Worth university in the latest U.S. News Best Colleges rankings.
The latest: The University of Dallas is back in the Top 10 regional universities in the West in the 2026 ranking released today due to improved graduation rates and performance.
- TCU, which rose eight positions this year, and SMU, which rose three, are the only universities located in Dallas-Fort Worth to land in the Top 100 nationally.
- Both schools are tied for their positions.
The intrigue: UNT rose 12 positions in this year's rankings to reach 208.
