One cocktail to go: Jettison

One of Dallas' best cocktail bars is back — exactly where it was originally.

Driving the news: Jettison was one of several restaurants and bars that closed late last year in Sylvan Thirty, a residential and retail development in West Dallas.

• But the bar started a slow comeback in the spring before fully reopening in July.

Vibe check: You no longer need to ring the doorbell to get in, and reservations aren't required. But, overall, Jettison 2.0 feels essentially the same as the original.

• Expect low lighting and mood music on the record player.

The intrigue: There are several mocktail options and "fun-sized" cocktail-ettes for a less boozy experience.

• And yes, the Red Headed Oaxacan is still on the menu.

What to order: Martinez — an early era martini made with genever and sweet vermouth.
