The Dallas Cowboys drafted nine new players in this year's NFL Draft, but they still need a wide receiver to help CeeDee Lamb.
Why it matters: This was Brian Schottenheimer's first draft as the Cowboys' head coach, and the team had the No. 12 pick in the first round.
They used it to pick up offensive lineman Tyler Booker, of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He's a proud turtle dad.
What they did: The Cowboys added defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku, of Boston College, in the second round and cornerback Shavon Revel Jr., of East Carolina, in the third.
Running back Jaydon Blue, of UT, and linebacker Shemar James, of Florida, were added in the fifth.
Offensive lineman Ajani Cornelius, of Oregon, was picked up in the sixth.
In the seventh round, the Cowboys added running back Phil Mafah, of Clemson, and defensive tackles Jay Toia, of UCLA, and Tommy Akingbesote, of Maryland.
Between the lines: This is the first time in five years that the team hasn't drafted a wide receiver, but they still have a chance to add a veteran during free agency or through a trade.
What's next: Minicamp starts June 10. The team's training camp starts July in Oxnard, California.
