Have a long flight and need to get your steps in beforehand? Terminal D at DFW Airport has an artsy walking path that guarantees you nearly 3,000 steps.
The big picture: There are 12 tile floor medallions in the international terminal as part of the airport's art program.
DFW Airport plans to add 17 new art installations by 2030 as it builds Terminal F and improves Terminals C and E.
The intrigue: Most of the airport's art is currently at the skylink stations and in Terminal D, where most of DFW's international departures and arrivals are.
The Nasher Sculpture Garden also has pieces outside the terminal.
How it works: Passengers will walk nearly three-quarters of a mile if they move over each floor medallion in Terminal D.
Airport staff filmed the journey earlier this month and tallied 2,700 steps.
