One red hawk webcam to go

For 14 years, a red-tailed hawk has set up a nest on a camera pole over State Highway 114 in Irving.

• Texas Department of Transportation officials lovingly call her Rochelle, because the pole overlooks Rochelle Boulevard.

Driving the news: Hawks like Rochelle typically nest from February to June.

The intrigue: TxDOT has set up a special camera view so people can follow the hawk and her nest, which appears to have one egg this year.
