Houston apparently has the sixth most iconic skyline in the world β and Dallas was left off the list.
Why it matters: Dallas has Reunion Tower and the lit-up Bank of America building. Our skyline is also the backdrop of one of the most iconic TV intros.
Plus, Dallasites will come up with any reason to compete with Houston.
Context: Slingo, an online gaming site, curated its list of iconic skylines based on Instagram posts, the number of skyscrapers in each city, and how closely the arrangement of buildings matches the golden ratio.
New York City obviously tops the list, followed by Dubai and Chicago.
Zoom in: Houston's skyline has been posted 44,400 times on Instagram, more than Shanghai, the No. 5 iconic skyline, according to Slingo's very scientific analysis.
Houston had the least skyscrapers in the list of Top 10 skylines. A building must be 150 meters tall, or about 40 stories, to be considered a skyscraper.
