Catch a buzz without the buzz with our latest Dry January adventure.
The intrigue: The People's Last Stand has turned into one of the longest-standing establishments at Mockingbird Station.
The bar opened in 2011 at a time when the cocktail scene was still young in Dallas. It has survived more than a decade in an unlikely location, even with turnover at its neighboring bar.
Pro tip: The non-alcoholic espresso martini will give you just enough energy to check out some of the Oscar-nominated films showing at the nearby Angelika Film Center.
What to order: Love & Espresso — espresso, vanilla, brown sugar pecan simple syrup and black walnut and Aztec chocolate bitters. Plus, a whipped cream topper with toasted cinnamon.
