Dancing Iglesias and her family chose to open their Fort Worth thrift store on White Settlement Road to reclaim the history of the city's relocation of Indigenous people.
The latest: Iglesias is one of our 2024 Axios Dallas Power Players.
She and Philip Hiatt Haigh, executive director of The Loop Dallas, were featured speakers at our event last night at the Dallas Museum of Art.
Hiatt Haigh said his organization aims to connect "Dallas to Dallas" through a network of trails.
Iglesias said her business has sparked important conversations about Fort Worth's Indigenous history, reminding her it's necessary to "listen in order to be heard."

The bottom line: Thank you to everyone who joined us last night, especially those who drove long distances to get to Dallas.
