CeeDee Lamb inks contract extension

State of play: Lamb didn't appear at this year's training camp or preseason games, a typical tactic for players trying to get the best deal in a new contract.

• Leaving Dallas never seemed likely, but the back and forth between the Cowboys organization and Lamb dragged.
• "Listen, we've got a lot of things to talk about. I'm only talking about who's here," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said when asked about Lamb after Saturday's preseason game. The receiver didn't play that day.

Meanwhile: Quarterback Dak Prescott's future with the team remains in the air. This will be the last year of his contract unless the two sides agree to an extension.
