People are still talking about a Fort Worth woman's "wedding of the century" last month that included a welcome dinner at the historic Paris Opera House, Maroon 5 singing "She Will Be Loved" during the first dance and touches of couture everywhere.

Why it matters: Fort Worth has a lot of wealthy families, but their lives are rarely the subject of headlines.

  • Social media users who didn't know anything about the Brockways before the Nov. 18 wedding have gone down many rabbit holes to learn about their background and quantify their wealth.
  • Business Today estimated that the wedding cost $59 million.

Zoom in: The bride, Madelaine Brockway, graduated from All Saints' Episcopal School in 2014 and Texas Christian University in 2022. Her LinkedIn profile says she's an entrepreneur based in Fort Worth.

  • All Saints lists Brockway's mom, Paula, as the vice president of its board of trustees.
  • The Brockway family has been in the car dealership business in South Florida for generations.
  • Less is known about the groom, Jacob LaGrone, whose outdated LinkedIn profile says he attended the University of Mississippi and has worked in the country music industry.

The intrigue: "Just weeks ago, Madelaine Brockway was an internet nobody — now, the 26-year-old American bride is soaring to nuptial notoriety," the New York Post wrote.

Details: Brockway's multi-day bachelorette trip in Utah included a "Pretty in Pink" party, "Aliens Amongst Us" night and a Marie Antoinette-themed Halloween party.

  • In Paris, Brockway treated family and close friends to private visits to Chanel and Dior. Wedding guests also got private tours of Paris and a stay at the Palace of Versailles.
  • The wedding ceremony was held at a château outside Paris. An elaborate light display commemorating the occasion included references to Ole Miss and TCU.

Yes, but: People have become so obsessed with the wedding, they dug up LaGrone's mugshot from when he was arrested in Tarrant County in March, accused of opening fire on police officers responding to a report of a discharged firearm.

  • WFAA reports that the newlywed was in a Tarrant County court last week to attend a hearing about the case but didn't answer any of their questions about it.
  • The Tarrant County district attorney's office offered him a plea deal of 25 years in prison, per the station.

Meanwhile: Brockway appears to have deleted her TikTok account and made her Instagram account private. Both were filled with wedding content.

  • Her wedding planner still has videos up if you want to see what the hype is all about.
