Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" homecoming

Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri was back in his birthplace this year, shining the spotlight on a half-dozen Central Ohio restaurants on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" for the first time since episodes that aired in 2017 and 2018.

Driving the news: The Mayor of Flavortown is winding down Season 40 of his seemingly never-ending road trip, which features "greasy spoon" style restaurants across the country.

His recent stop at Wario's Beef & Pork in the Arena District prompted our own recent visit.

One of the city's most popular brunch spots, known for its pancake balls and sweet and spicy bacon.

Flashback: Over the years, Fieri has visited dozens of Ohio restaurants, with a nearly even split between Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati.
