1 new summer drink to go

👋 Alissa here with an alcoholic beverage recommendation that's "a bit too drinkable," as one spokesperson put it.

Disclaimer: At this point you're probably not coming to me for refined booze recommendations, but I promise … this one's really good!

What I drank: Surfside, a popular canned cocktail newly available at Columbus retailers, including a stand near the picnic area at Huntington Park.

• Five new tea and lemonade flavors launched this summer, for nine total options.
• I tried two classics with vodka: iced tea and lemonade and just lemonade.

💭 My thought bubble: Both were light and refreshing on a sweltering day. No malt, no carbonation — if somebody handed me an unlabeled can and said there was no alcohol, I would've believed them.

• That's coming from a lightweight who hasn't drunk much of late!

The intrigue: The brand touts itself as the "official ready to drink vodka iced tea and vodka lemonade of Minor League Baseball." How specific.

The bottom line: I'm not sure how much competition there is in that category but, regardless, it's a home run.
